Deliveries and Returns

For goods ordered through our stores


Deliveries
- Deliveries for orders exceeding £1,500 (incl. VAT) are free of charge within the M25 in London. Orders below this amount or outside the M25 are charged at cost plus VAT. For deliveries outside the UK we obtain separate quotes.
- Deliveries can only be made during normal working hours, Monday to Friday.

- All deliveries must be signed for. Claims regarding shortage or damaged goods must be made at the time of delivery and noted on the delivery receipt. No claims for shortage will be accepted after the delivery.
- Claims regarding damaged goods made after delivery will be considered at the discretion of Skandium Limited and must be made within a reasonable period of time.

- Goods will be held free of charge for 2 weeks from the time that the goods are available for delivery. Storage time over and above this will be charged at the rate of £30.00 per order per week. 

- The estimated lead-time is based on our experience from working with our manufacturers and on the information the manufacturers give us. We will endeavour to keep customers informed of any unexpected delays.
- While we will take all possible action to maintain the estimated lead-time, we are unable to influence delays caused by shipping companies, damage during transit, strike action, factory holidays or changes in manufacturing schedules.
- Skandium Limited does not accept financial liability for any loss due to late delivery.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to oversee that all measurements of goods ordered are checked to ensure accessibility. Goods that are unable to be delivered as a result of problems involving access that were not noted at the time of ordering will not be refunded, nor will any delivery cost. 

- We are unable to offer a removal service for old furniture.
Returns
You can return goods within 30 days for an exchange or a credit note if you have a receipt and the original packaging, and the goods has not been used or damaged. This does not apply to specially ordered goods (i.e. non stock goods). Refunds are only made on genuinely faulty goods. Refunds or exchanges are not given on Sale goods, which are sold as seen. This does not affect your statutory rights and is in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act 1979.


For goods ordered through our online store


1. Ordering from us
1.1 You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgment, detailing the products you have ordered.
1.2 Our acceptance of an order takes place when we dispatch the order. We will send you a dispatch confirmation by email. When we dispatch the order the purchase contract will be made even if your payment has been processed immediately, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have canceled your order.
1.3 We may refuse to accept an order:
(a) where goods are not available;
(b) where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;
(c) if there has been a pricing or product description error; or
(d) if you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions.

2. Pricing
2.1 All prices include VAT (where applicable) at the current rates. We reserve the right to express the price exclusive of VAT, but we shall show VAT separately and include it in the total price.
2.2 Where we charge separately for packing, carriage and insurance and other relevant charges, the appropriate rates are set out in our specified pricing structure shown elsewhere on this Website.
2.3 Our prices are reviewed periodically and the next review will be on 04/01/2011.

3. Deliveries
3.1 Delivery charges vary due to size and weight of products. You can check the applied charges by clicking on the "view cart" or "check out" button.
3.2 Deliveries can only be made during normal working hours, Monday to Friday.
3.3 In stock items will be delivered within 1-2 weeks. Should an item be temporarily out of stock, a member of staff will contact you to advise.

4. Cancellation and returns policy
4.1 If you wish to cancel your order:
(a) you can notify us by email to orders@skandium.com before we have dispatched the goods to you; or
(b) where goods have already been dispatched to you, by returning goods to us in accordance with clause 4.2 below.
4.2 You can return goods you have ordered from us within 7 working days of receipt, for a full refund or exchange. This does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s own specification such as custom-made blinds, curtains, carpets, rugs or furniture. The costs of returning goods shall be borne by you.
4.3 Upon receipt of the goods we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required.
4.4 The rights to return the goods to us as referred to in clause 4.3 will not apply in the event that the product has been used and/or is damaged.
4.5 This is in accordance with Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
