Skandium Ltd is the exclusive agent for the Finnish textile brand Marimekko in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland since 2002.

Skandium Ltd opened the first ever dedicated British Marimekko shop in St. Christopher's Place, London in October 2002. It was inaugurated by Kirsti Paakkanen, legendary CEO and owner of the Marimekko Corporation 1991-2007.

The Marimekko shop stocks the clothing collection by Mika Piirainen together with classic Tasaraita t-shirts by Annika Rimala and Jokapoika shirts by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi. It also stocks striped socks, canvas bags and a large selection of printed fabrics, many designed by Maija Isola. It sells kitchen accessories, trays, mugs, napkins, oven mittens, aprons, table cloths, bed linens, towels and much more.

Marimekko was founded already in 1951 but shot to fame in the 1960s when Jackie Kennedy made the clothing a household name in the USA. Many of the textile designs created by the most famous Marimekko designer Maija Isola are represented in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Today, the company has a big revival with both new designs and reproductions of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s designs.
