Woodnotes

Skandium is the exclusive agent for the Finnish brand Woodnotes in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

 Helsinki based company Woodnotes is one of the great success stories of recent Finnish design. Started by the well established Finnish textile designer Ritva Puotila and her family, the company is based around products made from spun wood yarn, a traditional Finnish manufacturing technique which Woodnotes has developed for modern use.

The product range includes rugs - available in 63 different designs - and a variety of sizes, blinds, room dividers and accessories such as place mats, table runners, bags and even furniture. The designs have a sophisticated simplicity which is matched by the environmental friendliness of the manufacturing. 



The Woodnotes products are very suitable for contract use. The rugs are available with a rubber backing and dirt repellent treatment for heavy wear while the blinds and room dividers are made to measure and can be fitted in most spaces. The place mats and table runners are useful for restaurants and hotels. The compact wood fibres mean that Woodnotes products do not gather dust or dirt, an important feature for those suffering from allergies.
