Helen Russell is a British journalist, editor and author. Starting off as a researcher for The Sunday Times, Helen went on to work as features writer on Take a Break and deputy editor at AllAboutYou.com. She then worked as features editor for Top Sante and on new launches for Tatler Asia, Grazia India and Sky. Helen joined Marie Claire as editor of marieclaire.co.uk in 2010 and was BSME-shortlisted in 2011 and 2012 before leaving to go freelance. She now writes for magazines and newspapers around the world, including The Times, Grazia, Metro, and The Wall Street Journal, specialising in women’s lifestyle, health & wellbeing, as well as anything Denmark/Scandinavia-related. Helen is a guest columnist for The Telegraph, a correspondent for The Guardian and The Independent, and is also available for commissions. Helen’s first book, The Year of Living Danishly – Uncovering the Secrets of the World’s Happiest Country was published worldwide in 2015 by Icon (& in Danish by Turbine under the title: Mit år som dansker).
