Markku Salo (b.1954), is one of the main names in Finnish contemporary glass art. He is a bold and experimental artist who knows glass inside out and is known for his colourful and impressive works. Salo has received wide recognition of his works including the Georg Jensen award. His works are included in the collections of major international institutions focusing on design and glass, including Cooper Hewitt and Corning Museum of Glass in United States, Victoria & Albert Museum in London and Röhsska museum in Sweden.
