Arne Jacobsen centenary package from Fritz Hansen and Louis Poulsen
Fritz Hansen, the manufacturer of Arne Jacobsen furniture pieces like the Egg and the Series 7 chair, has teamed up with the lighting company Louis Poulsen, the manufacturer of Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen light fittings. Together they have made a limited edition set which presents both good value and a unique opportunity but is only available for 100 days from Arne Jacobsen's birthday 11th February. The package contains:
One egg-shaped, three-legged table, model 3603, in black lazured ash veneer with bevelled edges and slanting chromed legs. The table was in Fritz Hansen's collection from 1952 to 1960 and was designed at the same time as the Ant chair. Height 70 cm, length 115 cm, width 85 cm.
Three Ant chairs, model 3100 with three legs, in black lazured ash veneer.
One Stelling pendant light in mouth-blown three-layer opal glass. The Stelling pendant was designed in 1937 for Stelling's House in Copenhagen, a building designed by Jacobsen. It has not been produced for many years. 3 x 40W. Diameter 39.5 cm, height 14 cm.
Skandium has bought in ten (10) sets all in all, some which are already sold. We can therefore arrange for immediate delivery. The price for the whole set (table, three chairs and lamp) is £1,237.00. The set can be viewed at our Wigmore Street showroom.
