Description
The structure of this Swedish classic is light weight, yet stable. String is simple to assemble and the shelves can be easily repositioned. Books are kept in place by the side panels, and shelves of different depths can be combined in the same unit. When more shelf space is needed, simply add an additional side panel and some shelves. Cupboards and writing tables can also be added. It is equally suited to a large or small wall.

Designed by Nisse Strinning
Nisse Strinning (1917-2006) is the father of the legendary String shelving and furniture system. Nisse Strinning was married to Kajsa Strinning, also a designer, who together with her husband developed the String system. The shelving was originally designed in 1949
