Bodil Kjær: Indoor - outdoor collection

Danish architect and professor Bodil Kjær has always worked to create harmony between design and architecture – an ambition that, in 1959, resulted in the elegant Indoor-Outdoor furniture series.

Indoor-Outdoor offers a high degree of comfort, as the furniture is spacious, ergonomically designed, and ideal for relaxation and socializing. The series is aesthetically suited for both indoor and outdoor use, and consists of a lounge chair with a matching lounge table, a dining table, a dining chair, a two-seater lounge sofa, a swing sofa, and a sunbed – all inspired by the Cubist idiom, which has proven its enduring visual appeal.

Carl Hansen & Søn is producing the furniture in solid teak – a wood variant with a warm expression that patinates beautifully and requires minimal maintenance. Indoor-Outdoor radiates the spirit in which Kjær created the series, with materials, joints, and a construction to last.
