An icon since first displayed at the 1937 World Fair in Paris, all Aalto Vases are still mouth-blown at Iittala¹s factory in Finland. Inspired by waves in the water its organic shape remains modern in all its shapes and colours.

In 1949, Swedish publishing house Bonniers, realised that people would likely buy more books if they had somewhere to put them. With this in mind, Bonniers launched a competition calling for a shelving solution. Nils and Kajsa Strinning won with their ingenious solution: a flexible, elegant and minimalist shelving system and the String® was born.
