Other highlights for the Marylebone Interiors Day include
Comprising of a wealth of workshops, talks, free consultations and other activities, together with an array of exclusive offers, the event will see eight of the area’s retailers—The Conran Shop, Designers Guild, Farrow & Ball, McGlashans, Lewis & Co, Little Greene, Skandium and Solid Floor—join forces in a collaborative effort to cement Marylebone Village’s growing reputation for interior design. This is the perfect opportunity to pick up hints for your home—whether you’re a hardened design enthusiast, a novice in need of handholding, or simply curious. The activities are free, and once you’re here you won’t have to travel much more than a few hundred metres between each one.
The Conran Shop: A master craftsman from Denmark giving a live demonstration of Hans J. Wegner’s iconic Wishbone chair being re-stringed. Designers Guild: Consultants sampling in store all day producing mood boards inspired by their new Kaori and Amlapura collections and Tricia Guild's Colour Deconstructed book so customers can see how colour and design can come together and be worked into room schemes.
Farrow & Ball: The chance for visitors to test their painting skills—and the company’s unmatched exteriors paint—on a mini plant pot and make origami flowers out of wallpaper. You can read an interview with one of Farrow and Ball's excellent colour consultants here.
