Skandium stages seminar during 100% Design Skandium and the Swedish Embassy in London is co-hosting a seminar at the fair 100% Design, Earls Court Two, London on Saturday 29 September, starting 12.00 pm. The topic 'Swedish versus British design' is looking at the different conditions facing designers in Britain and Scandinavia. Despite plenty of talent in both countries manufacturing, education and distribution is widely different. How does this affect the designers work and what can be learnt from each others experiences? Speakers are the designers Björn Dahlström (Stockholm), James Irvine (Milan) and the duo Jay Barber and Edward Osgerby (London). The seminar is chaired by the Swedish architect and design guru Peter Hall.
