Do Shelf System, 2 shelves

By Skagerak

  • Description

It sometimes transpires that the function and appeal of a design goes beyond what was originally intended. This was the case with DO.
The multi-functional shelf system with an impression of lightness was originally designed as part of a shop concept, but created such interest that further development and adaptation for private homes were the obvious sequel.

DO is made of untreated oak and oak with a malamine surface, and is assembled using poles and two, four or six shelves. Combined with the light materials, the flexible design creates a calm visual impression. This makes you wish to display the things you like the most and share them with guests of the home, and at the same time organise things. Which accounts for the name DO – divide and organise.

Use DO standing on its own in a room and utilise the uncluttered surfaces of the shelves to partition your home interior, so that it emphasises all aspects of your favourite objects, or place it against a wall like a traditional shelf system.
