Cate&Nelson is a Scandinavian design studio based in London creating industrial design across furniture, product and interior with international clients. The design duo consists of the Swedish designer Cate Högdahl and Spanish Nelson Ruiz-Acal, educated at the Europeo di Design in Madrid with a base in London and representations both in Spain and Sweden. Their designs are distinguished by sustainability and a continental approach. Their inspiration is drawn from an on going design dialogue, and thorough observation of daily situations and needs that arise from the products and space we utilise. The products need to offer something over and above expectations, meeting the needs of today. Respectfully, with humility and a glint in the eye, they follow the entire design process. They take great joy in being a part of the journey from the first idea to the final product going on the market and finding a home.
