Emma works from her home studio producing quirky, colourful paintings and patterns. Using her original paintings as her main starting point she manipulates repeats and play around with pattern. Each design produced is painted by hand before being printed onto natural cottons using state of the art technology. This has allowed her work to evolve, transforming her two dimensional imagery into three dimensional products such as cushions, throws and anything that can be made from fabric.
Ever since leaving university after studying Textiles, Emma has been on a constant battle to become a self employed, artist/designer. Trying to produce and sell her art whilst working full time has proved difficult and frustrating. Having been made redundant she decided to take the plunge at creating her own brand and she's never looked back. With a varied bag of experience ranging from automotive interior design, surface pattern and graphics (to name a few) she then embarked on a teaching career which she occasionally dip into by lecturing and hosting workshops.
Her work is a result of experiences and surroundings. Her love for colour, life and of course dogs is often apparent in her work. Combining her knowledge of textiles and art was a natural process and has allowed her to delve into the world of fabrics and return to her roots.
