Claus C. Simonsen is the designer behind Generous Design. He graduated as a building architect from Aarhus Architect School in 1994. He has designed buildings for over 15 years. In the beginning, he worked mainly with decor and design, later to work on office buildings, high-rise buildings and housing for, amongst others, Henning Larsen Architects. Generous Design focuses on the design of furniture, lighting and products.
“My ideas stem from a shape, a connection or a function. Aesthetics are created in the design process and are closely related to finding the right solution for a given product. Design is always connected to people and their experiences, while function and aesthetics are connected to their context. To me good design should unite people with the space that surrounds them.”
