Born in the UK in 1987, John Green studied Product Design at York St John University, whilst studying John designed "Embrace" a bent plywood coffee table that would be the start of his career. Embrace was awarded the 2007 CSD Award and was shortlisted for many other awards. In 2008, when John graduated, he set about putting Embrace into production. Once in production Embrace won a Grand Designs award and John was runner up in the Homes & Garden Classic Design Awards - Young Designer Award.
On the back of this success John founded his own studio, where he divides his time between his own label and a host of freelance projects for established international brands. John is mainly focused on designing furniture, lighting and accessories with a strong emphasis on quality of materials and production techniques. By stripping his products of unnecessary details John aims to design products with a timeless appeal that will blend quietly into almost any interior.
