Ola Rune (born 1963) is part of Claesson Koivisto Rune, the most internationally wellknown Swedish architect and design studio. Even their exam work, a Japanese dwelling placed at the most central square in Stockholm, hit the design world like a bomb - with great attention both in Sweden and abroad. Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune were first said to be minimalist. But trying to describe them, you'll discover that as soon you've found the right adjective they have changed. CKR's work is a movement upwards and forward, heading for something not yet discovered. Without any clear direction they've said themselves. And yet they work consequently in the tradition of Arne Jacobsen and Alvar Aalto, with architectur, furniture design and product design, that together creates a unit.
