Roberto Cárdenas studied product design at Beckman's College of Design in Stockholm and has a university degree in art. As a member of the Chilean artist group Pintores Portugueses de Valparaíso, he took part in several celebrated exhibitions in South America and has received several awards for his art and poetry in Chile. He has also worked as an art teacher at high school and university levels.
