The designers behind TRIMM are Rikke Gjørlund (born 1972) and Tim Jacques Nielsen (born 1976). They established in 2009 the brand “TRIMM Copenhagen”, which is based in Copenhagen.
The philosophy behind TRIMM is to create an innovative and unique brand based on Danish design tradition, sustainable and durable materials. The concept is based on a desire for balance between design, functionality, detail, versatility and durability, which is also achieved by the materials from the sailing world environment. TRIMM operates in different area of the design industry in particular furniture, interiors and accessories.
Rikke Gjørlund has a design degree and Tim Jacques Nielsen is a trained sail maker specialized in the craftsmanship of super yachts sails. "We see our different background and approach to design as a force which is giving our design and shape language a simple and yet raw expression"
