Uli Budde, born 1978, studied product design at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences and at the Design Academy Eindhoven, where he graduated in 2004. He then worked for Hella Jongerius in Rotterdam, among others. Since the foundation of ULI BUDDE DESIGN OFFICE in 2009 he has been creating furniture and lighting projects for international manufacturers. In his work, Uli Budde deals with everyday objects by giving special attention to their functionality. He always aims to combine familiar things with new solutions in a well-conceived way. Budde’s design approach strives towards easy intelligibility and flexibility. The result stands out due to unimposing presence and Budde’s striking signature that is both poetic and graphic, allowing his products to be integrated in the most diverse environments.
