The Silkkikuikka pattern is woven onto this cotton and natural coloured linen cushion cover with a jacquard knit.
The cover has fringes on all sides and a concealed zipper on one side. “I was dancing with brushes,” said Maija Isola. In 1961, she spent many evenings and nights working in Marimekko’s print factory – painting in gentle, sweeping brushstrokes to the sway of music.
Meter upon meter of new patterns emerged. On one of those nights, Silkkikuikka (great crested grebe), a pattern of alluring rhythm and simplicity, saw daylight.
