Description
The Ingeborg Sofa. a beautiful 2.5 people's lounge sofa, originally designed in 1940 by Flemming Lassen. The charming and elegant sofa was named after Flemming Lassen’s mother, Ingeborg Winding, and has characteristically curvy armrests, a buttoned back and legs made from hardwood.
Ingeborg Sofa has the same design features as the recently launched lounge chair Ingeborg, and together the two now form a matching duo. The compact size and design of the sofa allows you to place it anywhere without taking up too much space.
The elegant, curvy armrests add character to the design and give the impression of a warm embrace. The lounge sofa was initially presented at the Cabinetmakers’ Guild Competition in 1940, at the Museum of Industrial Art in Copenhagen.
Only a small number of the sofas were produced, making them sought after at auction. This beautiful and iconic design by Flemming Lassen has now been reintroduced in both textile and sheepskin.
