Bell pendant lamp

By Normann Copenhagen

  • Description

The expression is robust, the form is simple. Bell is a ceiling lamp in an iconic bell shape and with special attention paid to its details. Its round, even surface gives the lamp the impression of having been cast. Rather than being hidden, the meeting between the lead and the lamp is accentuated in a modern and original way.

With Bell, designers Andreas Lund and Jacob Rudbeck have focused on designing a lamp where the design of the fixtures has space to unfold. The contrast between the materials creates a modern lamp. Bell is a directional lamp that changes character and creates new experiences when a person moves around it. The light inner side reflects the light, which falls like a cone and provides good lighting over the dining table, for example.

    Andreas Lund and Jacob Rudbeck

Jacob Rudbeck has a background from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architect and Andreas Lund graduated from The Danish Design School in 2000. Both Jacob and Andreas have their own studio. They met during teaching jobs and decided to start cooperating. “Design is industrial craftsmanship where the interaction of function and form melts perfectly in harmony. We want to pass on the Scandinavian design tradition and create everyday objects that have personality without being loud”.
