Please see below for the latest COVID19 & Brexit updates:
Imports into the UK
You are likely to be aware, that imports into the UK have been severely disrupted by the December border restrictions which was due to the discovery of the new coronavirus strain in the UK. This has meant that stock that was expected pre Christmas has been delayed out of the EU into the UK.
Additionally the last minute Brexit single market deal has meant that suppliers have had to alter the way these imports arrive into the UK, regrettably causing further delays.
Skandium understands this can be frustrating for customers expecting orders pre Christmas and offer our sincerest apologies for this disruption. These disruptions were unexpected and unforeseen.
We would like to take the opportunity to show our appreciation to all our customers for their patience in these matters as we move forward into 2021 together!
Exports outside of the UK
All UK VAT has been removed for new international orders (to be shipped outside of the United Kingdom), received after the 1st January 2021. All orders after this date will be subject to the destinations customs rate on arrival, please note Skandium has no control over these rates. Please contact your local customs office for clarification on fees.
Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, some of our brands are experiencing delays in production and shipping on certain products. Please be aware that this may affect order times. We are receiving regular updates and all customers will be informed if your order is affected at the earliest opportunity.
Due to an increased online sales across the world, there is a current shortage of double wall cardboard, we apologise in any instance that your order was received with excess packaging. This is a necessary step we must take to protect goods until the correct boxes are back into supply.
Customers will not be asked to sign handheld units and our drivers will take a photo of the parcel at the point of delivery.
We also recognise that some people may be self-isolating and unwilling or unable to open their door to receive parcels, so there's a range of delivery options for everyone including setting their delivery preferences on the DPD app or leaving a note on the front door telling us where to leave the parcel.
