Imports into the UK
You may be aware that UK imports for certain goods is taking a little longer than before the new UK border controls. Although around 80% of shipments to the UK are generally on time. There are instances were perishable goods must be prioritised on import, this sometimes may cause delays that are unexpected.
Our shipping partners, suppliers and ourselves are now seeing back-logs which may result in delays into the EU and the UK, in some cases these are more severe than others. This has been compounded by hold-ups at port due to Brexit, COVID-19 and the blockage of sea freight at the Suez Canal.
We thank you for your patience in these matters and if your order has been affected, rest assured, we are working hard to keep all customers updated as soon as we receive this information! All of our suppliers are dedicated to finding new ways to minimize disruption the best way possible.
Exports outside of the UK
All UK VAT has been removed for new international orders (to be shipped outside of the United Kingdom), received after the 1st January 2021. All orders after this date will be subject to the destinations customs rate on arrival, please note Skandium has no control over these rates. Please contact your local customs office for clarification on fees.
- Abandonment of shipments that have left the UK due to a dislike of your local customs rate, does not entitle you to a refund. The goods must be returned to us and this is the responsibility of the customer.

- Due to an increased online sales across the world, there is a current shortage of double wall cardboard, we apologise in any instance that your order was received with excess packaging. This is a necessary step we must take to protect goods until the correct boxes are back into supply.
Customers will not be asked to sign handheld units and our drivers will take a photo of the parcel at the point of delivery.
We also recognise that some people may be self-isolating and unwilling or unable to open their door to receive parcels, so there's a range of delivery options for everyone including setting their delivery preferences on the DPD app or leaving a note on the front door telling us where to leave the parcel.

Home deliveries are continuing to take place. Customers will receive a pre-delivery call and will be asked the following:
Have you or anybody living at this address displayed possible coronavirus symptoms resulting in any of you having to self-isolate?
If yes - the delivery will be cancelled and rebooked for at least 14 days later. If no - please read the following statement:
