The Swan™ chair from 1958 was originally not done for domestic use but for a hotel lobby in Copenhagen, at the SAS Royal Hotel, whose architect was Arne Jacobsen.

Widely seen as the world's first design hotel, Jacobsen designed not only the building but also furniture, cutlery, light fittings, textiles, door handles, signage, glassware and many other details.

While the Swan works well by its own, it really comes to life in a group of two or three. It is perfectly complemented by the AJ floor light, its original 1958 companion.
