Vakka storage boxes

  • Description

When designing Vakka (bushel in Finnish), Aalto+Aalto was inspired by the plywood suitcases particularly popular in the Baltic countries. The idea was already clear to the designers from the beginning. "We wanted to create an aesthetically pleasing container that does not look too much like a container and lends itself for a variety of uses, including serving as a stackable piece of furniture."

In addition to plywood, Vakka is also available in white and comes in two sizes. All products are manufactured at LK-Taivute in Lahti, Finland, which has a long history in innovation and the manufacture of plywood products.
