Skandium is proud to present a unique opportunity to acquire four extraordinary furniture pieces in never before produced versions by one of the greatest masters of Danish design, Poul Kjærholm (1929-1980), manufactured by Fritz Hansen A/S of Allerød, Denmark. We are bringing to London a small series of unique furniture pieces that have been produced in a limited series of 20 of each piece only, never to be manufactured again. Each piece will be delivered with a first owner’s logbook, number and certificate. When young Poul Kjærholm was apprenticed to become a cabinetmaker, the foundation was laid for a creative person who became one of the greatest furniture designers of the 20 century, a talent later refined at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen. Throughout his entire career, Poul Kjærholm managed to translate values of simplicity and a love for nature into outstanding and unique items of furniture. His creations were innovative in both design and choice of material, and are now more modern than ever.

A daybed. A coffee table. A sofa. A dining table.

The collection consists of a generously and uniquely sized PK 81 daybed in water buffalo leather, a PK 40 dining table with leather top tanned with Peruvian tara tree fruit, a PK 61 coffee table in rare Greenland marble no longer available to harvest and a wall-hung two-seat PK 26 sofa made in Niger delta goat skin herded by the Tuareg nomad people. All four items are for the true connoisseur of fine quality furniture. The pieces will each be making a stunning contribution to great spaces and are an excellent investment opportunity. We would like to invite you to experience the collection at the Republic of Fritz Hansen store operated by Skandium, at 13 Margaret Street, Fitzrovia, London W1. Customers interested to view the collection in private are welcome by appointment, during or after closing hours.
