String shelving is simple to assemble, and shelves can be easily repositioned. The structure of this Swedish classic is lightweight, yet stable.
Books are kept in place by the side panels, and shelves of different depths can be combined in the same unit.
When more shelf space is needed, simply add another String Side Panel and String shelves. Cupboards and work desks can also be added.
This functionality and the timeless design are the reasons why String still attracts attention after 60 years.

Designed by Nisse Strinning
Nisse Strinning (1917-2006) is the father of the legendary String shelving and furniture system. Nisse Strinning was married to Kajsa Strinning, also a designer, who together with her husband developed the String system. The shelving was originally designed in 1949
