Børge Mogensen, known as ‘the people’s designer’ for his enduring, high-quality furniture that focused on user needs, originally developed the Deck Chair series for his own balcony in the late 1960s. Lacking in outdoor furniture that was comfortable, functional and space-saving, he created foldable designs that could hang on a wall when not in use.

Made for maximum durability from hard and strong teak wood, left untreated to patinate beautifully over time, the reclining wooden frame of the BM55565 Deck Chair with Footrest gives the chair a welcoming and honest look. Perfectly befitting a relaxing outdoor environment, the wooden slats follow the natural curvature of the body to provide optimal comfort as well as a light and elegant expression. The corresponding loose cushion is made of weatherproof Sunbrella fabric, which not only has a natural appearance, but is also easy to clean.
