Description
The Carl Hansen ND54 children's high chair is a celebrated piece of modern children's furniture, designed by the married couple Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel. With its slim and natural design, it fits easily into a variety of dining room styles and kitchens and exudes a secret flair.
In 1954, Ditzel's twin daughters - Lulu and Vita - welcomed them into their family. In the same year, the couple used their daughters as reference for determining the proportions of the high chair, which was designed to complement a dining room set. In 1955, the high chair was presented to the public at the Copenhagen Arts and Crafts Exhibition. Although the Ditzels put together a range of children's furniture, the high chair is widely regarded as their masterpiece.
Handcrafted from easy-to-clean beech wood, this high chair adapts to the changing needs of growing children so that it can be used by children up to five years old and weighing up to 15 kilograms.
