Eva Schildt, born 1974, studied furniture and product design at Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm. Following Eva’s graduation in 2001, she received a number of significant design awards including the ‘Excellent Swedish Design Award’ in 2002 for her inspiring Gardener’s sofa and table. The pieces were described by the judges as pure poetry. The sofa is featured in the Design Collection at the National Museum in Stockholm.
In 2004 Eva won a competition to design entrance hall furniture for the Japanese mail order company Askul. Their collaboration continues and has given Eva a valued insight into the demands within different cultures.
Eva has had an extremely successful career to date, her impressive work is showcased in the National Museum of Stockholm and Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg.
