Montana Furniture has been providing personalized storage made in Denmark, since 1982. Peter J. Lassen, the founder, created the modular Montana System - using a mathematical formula, based on a factor of 5.7 cm. His philosophy was quite simple: Every Montana element can be infinitely combined as well as practical, good-looking, durable and independent of changes in fashion.
Montana's functional and flexible system has 36 modules, 4 depths and 42 poetic and complex colours developed with the award-winning Danish designer and colour expert, Margrethe Odgaard. Since 2007 Montana has exclusively used water-based paints which do not contain solvents that are harmful to health and the environment.
The Montana System has Danish Indoor Climate Labeling, and the company was one of the first furniture brands in Europe to be certified with the official European eco-label, the EU Flower. This marking applies to all Montana System furniture in MDF.
There is more to Montana Furniture than the popular system, there are chairs, tables and benches, as well as the Pantonova modular system designed by Verner Panton in 1971.
