Pao is a lamp set created in conjunction with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Pao is named after the soft, glowing shape of traditional Mongolian Pao tents, and it draws on Fukasawa's style of elegant simplicity to create an everyday object that incorporates design qualities found in nature.
He pulls the design into tune with its surroundings by keeping the aesthetics simple and modest. The lamp's base and shade are both made of durable polycarbonate with a smooth, high-gloss finish. The lamp's light source is hidden inside the shade behind an opal polycarbonate diffuser, resulting in an efficient diffused downlight with a warm, inviting glow.
The lamp's tiny, battery-operated design allows it to be carried around the house, as well as into the garden and other outside locations. Choose from a beautiful selection of colours.
