Carl Hansen’s CH101 lounge chair is a tightly shaped, but extremely comfortable lounge chair. It is built over an inner frame of solid beechwood and two arm elements, which are upholstered by hand, according to the best quality standards.

For dimensional stability, the seat and back cushions have a foam core which is wrapped in a down jacket to enhance the comfort. The leather covering is removable and has discreetly placed air holes.

The stainless steel flat frame consists of a longitudinal rail which is joined to the leg with skids at each end. Stainless steel is also included in the armrests where it both supports the armrests but also covers the upholstered attachment in both the front and the back. This creates an exciting contrast to the upholstery.

The CH101 lounge chair was designed, in its time, as part of an exclusive office furniture range and represents today some of Wegner’s finest work in stainless steel. The CH100 series was relaunched in 2008 in connection with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Carl Hansen & Søn.

In addition to the lounge chair, the series includes a sofa in three sizes and two coffee tables.
