"At a stroll though the bazaars of Istanbul I realized a fact; patterns and colours in Turkish carpets show huge similarity with our own traditional Swedish heritage. Maybe the Vikings in their time brought our design culture to this part of the world or vice versa? I have, as a present day Viking, interpreted the heritage of the Turkish carpet" says Thomas Sandell.
